Nandaprayag is located in the Chamoli District of Uttarakhand. It is situated at the confluence of the rivers, Alaknanda and Nandakini. Many devotees take a dip at the confluence to wash off their sins. According to mythology, Nandaprayag was the capital of Yadu dynasty.This is one of the five prayags which serves as a gateway to Badrinath and Kedarnath, the famous pilgrimage sites. The other prayags are Vishnuprayag, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, and Devprayag.
