How to Reach Ahmedabad
The International Airport of Gujarat, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is 15kms far from the city center. 8kms from main Ahmedabad Railway station and City main Bus stand it is well connected with the city. Domestic flights to different cities within the state like Nadiad, Surendranagar, Mehsana and other cities of India like Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai etc are available. Also available are international flights connecting to different destinations like Sharjah, Dubai, Kuwait, Kabul, Abu Dhabi, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Chicago, Bangkok, Singapore,Shanghai, Hongkong etc.
The main Ahmedabad Rail Station also known as Kalupur Station, due to the area in which it's situated, has proper connectivity to all major cities within the state and the outside also. Trains regularly ply to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Indore, Vadodara, Bhopal, Pune, Sural, Rajkot etc. Other stations within the city periphery are Vatva, Asarva, Gandhigram, Chandlodia, Vastrapur, Kali gam, Sabarmati, Naroda, Sarkhej, Aamli, Maninagar.

Ahmedabad is connected to the country capital, Delhi and the economic capital of the country, Mumbai via National Highway 8. The local bus service under the authority of Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service(AMTS) is an important means of transport, other than which auto rickshaws are also available. Through the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway or SG Highway, Ahmedabad is connected to the state capital at Gandhinagar.
