1. Kanyakumari

Kanyakumari, popularly known as Cape Comorin is situated in Tamil Nadu and is located at the southernmost tip of the Indian mainland. It rests at the position where the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea join. There are various attractions here that attracts tourists from far and wide. The view of the sunrise and sunset is sure to leave any traveller speechless and the experience is unforgettable.

2. Varkala

Varkala is a beautiful coastal town in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. It is the only place in Kerala where the hills come close to the sea. The uniqueness of this place is that of the merging of cliffs with the Arabian Sea. The Geological Survey of India calls it as the Varkala Formation. The beaches of Varkala offer spectacular views of the setting sun. Travellers coming here can enjoy the scenic view of the sunset from a beach cafe while sipping on a iced tea.

3. Tiger Hill

Tiger Hill, located in the Darjeeling district West Bengal, is at the summit of Ghoom the highest railway station in the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. It is famous for its panoramic view of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga together. The first rays of the sun is said to shoot ahead and shed light on these twin peaks, painting it pink first and then bathing it in a beautiful orange colour. The amazing view of the sun rising from the mountains will leave you in awe and is best accompanied by a hot cup of freshly brewed Darjeeling tea.

4. Puri Beach

Puri Beach, on the shores of the Bay of Bengal is a popular tourist attraction in the city and is considered to be one of the best beaches in India that is ideal for swimming. Hindus also consider the beach to be sacred as it is close to the Puri Jaganath Temple. It is filled with tourists and devotees, both of whom come here to take in the surreal beauty of this place. Palm trees and a beautiful beach makes it one of the best places for viewing the sunrise and capturing these amazing moments on your camera. Those interested in catching this spectacular view should head out to the beach at 5:00 am. in the morning.

5. Agumbe

Agumbe is a small village of the Tirthahalli taluk of Karnataka and is famously known for the beautiful sunsets over the Arabian Sea that can be witnessed from the region. Know for its scenic and serene landscape, it receives the highest rainfall in southern India. Travellers coming to this place can relish the natural surroundings that this place has to offer and also enjoy the view of the sunset in the company of their loved ones.
